The E. Eugene Carter Foundation financially supports undergraduates studying engineering at public universities, focusing on:

First generation to college

Sophomore status

Recent immigrants

Demonstrated financial need

Hispanic origin

Recruitment of women to the field

Selected universities receive funds to repay a student’s federal direct subsidized loans upon graduation with an engineering degree.

In 2023, over 400 students have been financed of whom 250 will have graduated..
