Becoming an Institutional Recipient

The E. Eugene Carter Foundation financially supports undergraduates studying engineering at universities, focusing on:  

  • First generation to college

  • Sophomore status

  • Recent immigrants with U.S. citizenship

  • Demonstrated financial need

  • Society of Women Engineers and Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers members

Selected universities receive funds to repay a student’s federal direct subsidized loans upon graduation with an engineering degree.

Nearly 500 students have been financed at $20,000 student.
